The mother of a thug who killed an innocent man with one punch has dismissed his crime as "no big deal".
Sherron O’Hagan defended her son and told the Mail she did not know what the fuss was all about.
Convicted robber Lewis Gill, 20, was jailed for four years for punching Andrew Young with no provocation.

Young, 40, fell to the ground, suffering head injuries, and died later in hospital.
The unprovoked attack came after Young had challenged Gill's friend for cycling on the pavement
It was captured on shocking CCTV footage and outrage was sparked by the sentence handed to Gill, described by Young's mother as "an absolute joke".

When the Mail tracked down Gill's 41-year-old mother, she said: "It was just an accident. It’s not a big deal. This will all be forgotten tomorrow.
"He’s my son, what do you want me to say? He didn’t mean to kill him and that’s that."

She went on: "This story will be the lining of chips tomorrow. I just don’t understand what all the fuss is about."
However, the matter is not over yet - because Dominic Grieve, the Attorney General, says he is considering whether to refer the jail term to the Court of Appeal for being unduly lenient.
