Russia Today's Liz Wahl Quits Live On Air In Protest At 'Whitewashing Of Putin's Actions' (VIDEO)

Russia Today Host Liz Wahl Quits Live On Air Over Crimea

Liz Wahl, an anchor on Russia Today, dramatically quit live on air on Wednesday in protest at the network's "whitewashing the actions of Putin".

"Personally I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin," said Wahl, who works in the Washington bureau for the network.

"I'm proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth and that is why after this newscast I'm resigning."

Wahl's resignation follows Tuesday’s equally spectacular denunciation of Russia’s recent military actions in Crimea by RT host Abby Martin who went off message by saying she "cannot stress enough" how strongly she feels about Russia's invasion of Crimea.
