Israeli Pilot Selfie Above Tel Aviv Is Strong Contender For Best Ever

This Pilot Just Upped The Selfie Game Stakes

The race for the best selfie taken by a pilot mid-flight (and therefore the best selfie possible) is hotting up.

Not only is he holding the camera himself but this Israeli Air Force (IAF) pilot is almost upside down.

The IAF have had to quickly stem any criticism of just exactly how wise it is to fly 'no hands' upside down over people's houses.

They said: "Shalom, we would like to clarify that in the aircraft’s cockpit there are two pilots, and the pilot who appears in the picture is not the pilot who flew the plane. There was no danger posed to either of the pilots during the flight."

Phew...

The area in the photo is Rabin Square, Tel Aviv, where Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in 1995.
