This 1960s Girl Group Sing Ellie Goulding's 'Burn': The Best Cover You'll Hear Today

Ellie Goulding better watch her back because this 1960s girl group are hot on her heels with this cover version of her chart-topping hit 'Burn'. Honestly, they almost sing her song better than she does.

Her version is pretty epic, but we reckon this one just about tops it and, as Elite Daily so eloquently put it: "Is the closest thing to stepping back in time."

Watch and see for yourself:

So, what have we learnt about forming a 1960s retro girl band?

1. Matching outfits are a must. If you and your gal pals are dead set on putting together a vintage band then the very first thing you need to do is invest in some matching getups. No, not like B*Witched and their denim on denim ON denim nightmare, but more fitted pencil skirts and bustiers.

2. Fire makes everything more exciting. Saxophones are totally snoresville, right? Not if you shove a flaming ball down the bell (AKA the bit where the sound comes out). Just make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand.

3. If you ain't rocking a beehive, you might as well go on home. It's a well known fact that no one in the 1960s wore their hair in any other style than a beehive, so say goodbye to your poker straight locks.
