'TOWIE' Star James Lock Charged With Possession Of Illegal Drugs

'TOWIE' Star Faces Drugs Charges

The Only Way Is Essex’ star James Lock has been charged with the possession of illegal drugs.

The reality star spent the night in jail back in February when police discovered class A drugs on him, after being involved in a brawl with a minicab driver.

The charges against him were later reduced to possession of class C drugs.

He pleaded not guilty to criminal damage and possession of class C drugs at a hearing earlier this month, and is now scheduled to appear before magistrates on June 27.

If found guilty James, nicknamed ‘Lockie’ on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, could face the axe from the reality series.

At the time of his arrest, police said: "Two men were arrested after becoming involved in a dispute with a minicab driver," a Metropolitan spokesperson said at the time.

"One man, aged 27, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of class A drugs. A second man, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence."

This is another blow to James’s public profile, after it emerged in the last series of ‘TOWIE’ that he’d been unfaithful to girlfriend Danielle Armstrong in the early stages of their relationship.

His attempts to win Danielle back were one of the central storylines during the series, and she did appear to have forgiven him in the last episode thanks to a grand romantic gesture.
