Woman Who Ate 20 Bananas A Day While Pregnant Has Healthy Baby Boy

A woman who sparked controversy by following an extreme raw diet throughout her pregnancy has given birth to a healthy baby boy.

Loni Jane Anthony claimed that she stayed healthy and slim throughout her pregnancy by eating a monotonous diet consisting of bananas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, washed down with banana smoothies. However, she was criticised by commentators who branded her 'irresponsible' and 'narcissistic'.

The 25-year-old Australian gave birth to a baby boy, weighing 8lbs 7oz on March 2.

"I have never seen a more perfect human," she gushed on Instagram. "I am so in love, thank you everyone for the endless support and positive energy we both felt it the whole way through. Love and light."

Lonirevealed on her Tumblr page that she plans to raise her son, who she has named Rowdy Nash, as a vegan. But she conceded that as he gets older 'he can then make his own decisions with that'.

Such decisions are a bit premature at this stage, however. For the moment Rowdy's diet consists solely of breast milk, as Loni revealed when a concerned commenter asked whether she was producing enough milk:

"It is in full flow," she replied. "No need for any other milk, Rowdy is doing great and has put on a great amount of weight since birth."

Loni first adopted a low-fat vegan diet known as the 80/10/10, after tiring of her 'party-lifestyle' which saw her binge on junk food and alcohol.

The diet takes its name from its recommended dietary intake: 80 protein and 1023FFEB00&videoControlDisplayColor=Slideshow-164878%
