Peaches Geldof Dead: Was The Star Preparing For 'Australia's Next Top Model' Judge Role?

Peaches Linked With 'Top Model' Role Before Death

Peaches Geldof was reportedly in talks to have a role on the new series of ‘Australia’s Next Top Model’ before her tragic death earlier this month.

The TV personality and model was one of several names linked with a mentoring role on the show, and it’s been claimed she was even planning to relocate to Australia with her husband and two sons for the project.

Weeks before her death, Peaches gave an interview published in the Sunday Times, where she spoke optimistically about a secret TV project she was involved in which would see her temporarily moving down under.

Speaking about her potential job in Australia, she said: “I can't say what it is yet, but I'll be there for three months.

“Of course the babies will come with me because obviously I wouldn't leave them for that long.”

The Sydney Morning Herald have since reported that the project in question was ‘Australia’s Next Top Model’, where Peaches would have been taking over the judging role from Charlotte Dawson, who tragically took her own life back in February.

Peaches was found dead at the age of 25 earlier this month, after police were called to her family home in Kent.

A post-mortem investigation proved inconclusive, and police are now waiting on the results of a toxicology report, which could take several weeks.
