McBusted star Dougie Poynter has confirmed that he is in a relationship with pop singer Ellie Goulding.
The pair have been rumoured to be an item since they were seen out together several times, including at a basketball match in January where a “kiss cam” singled them out in the crowd.

Dougie confirmed the pair were dating in an interview with The Mirror, where he romantically declared: “I’ve got a bird and yeah, it’s Ellie.”
And they say romance is dead, eh? That kind of poetry brings a tear to our eye.
He also confessed to The Sun he was hoping she would be able to catch him on his McBusted tour, though he admitted her busy schedule might not give them much time together, explaining: “Hopefully [she can come], yeah - she’s away at the moment, but yeah.
“I feel weird talking about it to be honest.”
Yeah, well, we "feel weird" hearing about it, Dougie - we thought you only had eyes for us.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity’ winner previously dated The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, who he started going out with when they were still teenagers.
Meanwhile in the past Ellie has been linked to Radio 1 DJ Greg James and electronic music star Skrillex.
Another of her alleged famous ex-boyfriends Ed Sheeran is believed to have written a song about her for his new album, called ‘Don’t’.
The song describes a girl cheating on Ed while they are staying in the same hotel, with some fans claiming it's about Ellie Goulding and One Direction singer Niall Horan.
