The cast of ‘Mr Selfridge’ have assembled for series three, where they’ll be joined by new additions including Zoe Wanamaker and sisters Hannah and Kara Tointon, who will be working together for the first time ever.
Jeremy Piven and his costars will begin filming the ten episodes of series three in London later this week.
Zoe joins the cast as Marie de Bolotoff, a Russian Princess and ‘Waterloo Road’ alumni Leon Ockenden will star as her son, while Rosalie and Violette Selfridge will be played by real-life sisters Kara and Hannah.
The third series picks up in 1919, shortly after World War I.
‘Coronation Street’ star Sacha Parkinson and ‘Holby City’ actress Kelly Adams are also joining the cast.
ITV’s Executive Producer Kate Adams has teased fans with a few details of what to expect from the new episodes, revealing: “We have some surprises in store for an audience in this third series!”
“You only have to walk down Oxford St today to know that Selfridges Department Store continued to be successful, but for its founder, Harry Selfridge, things were very different,” she adds. “His story was a rollercoaster ride that ended rather tragically.
“We pick up Series 3 in 1919, the point at which his life really begins to unravel.”
The show’s creators have not revealed when the new series will be screened. In the meantime, you can recap on all the action from the series two finale here.
