Assassin's Creed 5: New Details Reveal More About The Next Adventure

Assassin's Creed 5 is one of the most anticipated video games of the year - especially since it looks increasingly likely that it will come in two instalments, one for Xbox 360/PS3 and one for the next-gen consoles.

It's also going to be set in eighteenth century France, with all the revolutionary fervour and bloodshed that implies. Beautiful.

Now we're hearing some more details about the upcoming game to whet your appetite ahead of an expected full reveal at E3.

First, it looks like Unity - the next-gen game - will feature a new four-player cooperative mode, which will let players tackle a separate narrative to the main game. That info comes via Neogaf poster Shinobi602, though we can't confirm it.

Ubisoft is saying nothing: "Ubisoft does not comment on rumors or speculation."

Meanwhile we've also heard that Comet - the AC game for current gen consoles - will let players take the role of a Templar instead of an Assassin, which is an intriguing morsel.

If you're not satisfied, WhatCulture have a good round-up of some other AC5 rumours, though again they're all unconfirmed. Luckily E3 isn't too far away, so we don't have that long to wait.
