Fireball Dramatically Engulfs Car On M6

This dramatic picture shows the fireball that engulfed a car on the M6, after it crashed into the central reservation.

The driver of the vehicle walked away unscathed after the crash, which happened just after midnight, on the southbound carriageway.

Firefighters from Perry Barr and West Bromwich were called after the car crashed between J6 and J7, the Birmingham Mail reported.

There had earlier been 13 vehicle pile-up at Sandbach on the M6, close to junction 17 on the northbound carriageway of the M6.

No-one was seriously injured but one lane of the motorway was forced to close for three hours, the Crewe Chronicle reported.
