Robbie Williams And Ayda Field Expecting Second Child

Second Baby On Way For Robbie And Ayda

Pop star Robbie Williams is to become a father again, he has confirmed on Twitter.

The Take That and solo singer said he and wife Ayda Field are expecting a second child.

The 40-year-old, who lives with his wife and daughter Teddy in Los Angeles, wrote:

Williams was was once dismissed as the ''fat dancer from Take That'' by Oasis' Noel Gallagher, but he became one of the biggest stars of British music.

The Stoke-born singer first hit the headlines as a chirpy wannabe in the group that was billed as the British answer to US group New Kids On The Block.

He quit the group in the mid-1990s and embarked on a solo career which included a mainstay of the karaoke club, Angels.

Williams also battled personal demons - drink and drugs - along the way and often said success had not necessarily led to happiness.

He married Ms Field in the grounds of his Beverly Hills mansion in August 2010.

Theodora was born two years later and last year, Williams revealed they were already trying for a second baby.

And Williams enjoyed a return to the pop charts with his album Swings Both Ways, which soared to the number one spot at the end of last year.
