Nintendo has confirmed it will not be revealing any new hardware at this year's E3 gaming conference.
Luckily someone else has stepped into do its job for it.
An independent retro games console maker has opened pre-orders for a new premium Nintendo Entertainment System - originally released in 1983 - made entirely out of aluminium.
The Analogue Interactive NT NES features original chips from the Japanese version of the NES/Famicom console, has four controller slots and the original expansion slots.
The only real problem is the cost: $500.
On the other hand, it should be compatible with your TV - Analogue also sells a $49 HDMI converter, sells original NES controllers (also $49) and is out not for pre-order, with shipment expected this summer in five colours.
Analogue says:
