The American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that an unmanned drone just barely missed hitting a commercial airliner in mid-air.
The collision almost occurred in March, between US Airways Flight 4650 from Charlotte to Florida and an unidentified drone.

"The airline pilot said that he thought the [drone] was so close to his jet that he was sure he had collided with it," said FAA drone chief Jim Williams.
