‘Coronation Street’ actress Jennie McAlpine has announced that she’s expecting her first child with partner Chris Farr.
The ‘Corrie’ star, who plays Fizz, shared the news on Twitter, excitedly telling her followers: “We have some news to share. Chris and I are expecting an addition to our family. Very happy x”.

Jennie and Chris have been together since 2005 and messages of support have already started pouring in from her co-stars.
“arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh JEN!!!!!! SO SO excited for u!! Congratulations! Amazing news!!!!!! xxx,” wrote Michelle Keegan, while Jack P. Shepherd posted: “knew it! Well done! X”.
Jennie’s ‘Corrie’ character Fizz is already a parent, after welcoming baby Hope during the show’s 50th anniversary episode in 2010.
As well as starring on ‘Corrie’, Jennie owns a Manchester restaurant with Chris.
