This collection of funny, cute notes written by kids to their parents, teachers and friends had us in stitches. First appearing on Huffington Post Parents, they range from the touching - if a bit weird - to hilariously blunt. These young young authors write as only a child can.

Some of the notes are downright adorable - try not to smile at the wobbly drawing of a golden cup accompanied by the message 'You wun the dady trofy'.

This sort of cute misspelling can backfire, however - like when a little boy congratulates his kitchen whiz daddy on being 'the best cock ever'. Ahem.

It's not all sweetness and light. Some of the messages remind us that kids can be cruel, as the saying goes. A note from eight-year-old Zachary starts off promisingly: "I am sorry Ben I didnt mean to hurt you," before explaining that he when he threw the scissors, he actually meant to hit Chris, whom he 'hates'.

On the other hand, some are just plain weird. One oddball pupil completes the sentence 'My one wish is...' on a school worksheet with 'for it to rain tacos'. On the bright side, all his parents have to do to fulfill their offspring's lifelong dream is take him to a Mexican restaurant.

And when it comes to doing chores, six-year-old Frankie knows the score. Asked to complete the sentence, 'At home, I earn money by...' the refreshingly honest child writes: 'I don't. I am a freeloader.'
