She’s been the name on everyone’s lips since winning the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this month, so it seems only right that Conchita Wurst would turn up on the red carpet at Cannes.
Conchita was one of many stars to attend the amfAR gala - a benefit to raise money to help fight AIDS - on Tuesday night, where she really turned heads in a floor-length blue sequinned dress as she posed for photographers on the red carpet.

Of course, the most eye-catching part of her outfit was still her trademark full beard, which she’s become famous for ever since her performance of ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’ at Eurovision managed to scoop over 250 points for her native Austria.
Fans of Conchita - the drag alter-ego of performance artist Thomas Neuwirth - can rejoice in the fact she doesn’t show signs of going anywhere, and rubbing shoulders with A-listers like Kylie Minogue and Justin Bieber at the amfAR gala is just one step in her plan for world domination.

Conchita is just one of the stars rumoured to be appearing on the next series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, which Helen Flanagan and ‘Gogglebox’ star George Gilbey have also been linked to.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga reportedly wants Conchita to open up for her on her ‘artRAVE: the ‘ARTPOP’ Ball’ tour.
According to reports, Conchita has so far only been asked to perform one date in Istanbul, though it’s been speculated there could be room for her at other dates around Europe later in the tour, such as when it arrives in her home country of Austria in November.
But it seems Gaga isn’t the only diva who’s a fan of Conchita, as Cher was recently singing her praises on Twitter... though she was less than complimentary about her wig.
