Michael Gove has announced that classic novels by American authors are to be dropped from the new English literature GCSEs in favour of British writers.

Suffice to say, practically no one agrees with him.

Sunday morning saw 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' trending on Twitter as people vented their fury at the decision, defending the educational value of such books.
