'Britain's Got Talent': Lucy Kay And Yanis Marshall, Arnoud And Mehdi Voted Through To Live Final

'BGT': Two More Acts Voted Through To Final

Lucy Kay has been voted through to the live finals of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, alongside dance act Yanis Marshall, Arnoud and Mehdi.

Opera singing Lucy received the most votes of the nine acts who performed in Wednesday night’s semi-finals, wowing viewers with her emotional performance, which judge Simon Cowell told her had “saved the show” after being less than impressed with some of the other acts in the competition.

After discovering Lucy was the most popular act of the night, it was then down to the judges to decide whether they wanted Yanis Marshall, Arnoud and Mehdi or rival dance act Cartel, who surprised audiences by bringing back group member Jamie during their performance, after it was suggested by Simon following their audition that he should stay behind the scenes as he looked noticeably older than the other members of the five-piece.

David Walliams got the ball rolling and voted for Yanis and his fellow dancers to progress, as did Alesha Dixon who claimed they were the “slicker” of the two. While Amanda Holden said that Yanis did appeal to her “camp” sensibilities, she ultimately voted for Cartel to stay in the competition, as did Simon, which took it back to the public vote.

Yanis Marshall, Arnoud and Mehdi were then revealed as the act with the most votes, following their dance performance to a medley of camp favourites including the Scissor Sisters’ ‘Let’s Have A Kiki’, RuPaul’s ‘Supermodel (Of The World)’ and Lady Gaga’s chart-topping ‘Bad Romance’.

Those two acts will go against Darcy Oake, Collabro, The Addict Initiative and James Smith in the ‘BGT’ live final on Saturday night.
