Offering an alternative view of the other parent's birthing experience, photographer Dave Young focussed on the reactions of new fathers, moments after they found out their partners had given birth.
It's a fascinating insight into the birthing process mainly because (no offence, guys) no one really thinks about what the dad is going through. Elation, surprise, relief, love, gratitude: all of these are captured in a very natural way by Young.
Taken at Chelsea and Westminster hospital in April, the pictures were commissioned for The Book of Dads, a special Father's Day charity edition of The Book of Everyone personalised books, with 50% of the proceeds of the book going towards supporting Borne, a UK premature birth charity.
