John Inverdale's popularity has, rightly or wrongly, plummeted since he said last year's Wimbledon ladies champion Marion Bartoli wasn't "a looker", and the broadcaster experienced another on-air nightmare during ITV's coverage of the French Open on Wednesday.
Inverdale was conversing with two-time Roland Garros champion Jim Courier when talk turned to Twitter.

"Did you know the past parciple [sic] of tweeting was twat... Was twit?"
Courier couldn't help but chuckle at Inverdale's double fault.
