Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Injury: Who Should England Replace Him With?

Who Should Replace The Ox For England?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's knee injury he suffered in England's 2-2 draw with Ecuador on Wednesday will keep him out for between 10 and 21 days.

If it is just 10 days, then Oxlade-Chamberlain would only miss England's opening World Cup match with Italy a week on Saturday, however coach Roy Hodgson must now decide whether to persevere with the Arsenal midfielder or replace him.

From England's standby list, the six outfield players Hodgson has to choose from are Jon Flanagan and John Stones, who both played in the Ecuador draw in Miami, Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Andy Carroll and Jermain Defoe.
