Lara Stone has revealed she was sacked from a modelling job when she was just three months pregnant - because the client thought she was too fat.

And 30-year-old Lara, who's married to Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams, told the Evening Standard that even after giving birth and shedding her baby weight, she has continued to face discrimination.

She described humiliating meetings with clients who now insist on checking her over before signing her for a job to make sure she is the right size.

Lara – whose son Alfred was born in May last year – described the moment she arrived for a modelling shoot and was told she was no longer needed, shortly after announcing she was in the early stages of pregnancy.

The model, who has exclusive contracts with Calvin Klein and L'Oreal Paris, said: "I was really upset at the time. I hadn't yet had my three-month scan and I felt really vulnerable about everything.

"I no longer had a job. That was it – I had to just stop everything that I knew, the way my life was."

And things didn't change after her son arrived.

She said: "I've had a few meetings because when they hear pregnancy they freak out a bit, so they need to see if I fit in their clothes."
