Game Of Thrones Played On 8-Bit NES Keytar (VIDEO)

8-Bit Game Of Thrones Theme Played On NES Keytar

A man from Glasgow has built himself a NES Keytar, he's then decided that the only logical next step was to play an awesome 8-bit version of the Game Of Thrones theme.

It's not often that the world produces something like this, but when it does we feel duty bound to share it with the world.

Greig Stewart is a Software Engineer who, in his spare time, is a musician and all-round tinkerer. Harnessing his love of all things geeky he set about creating the ultimate musical instrument: An 8-bit NES Keytar.

Speaking to MailOnline Stewart admitted the NES Keytar took nearly 300 hours to build and even involved learning new programming languages just to overcome some of the hurdles involved.

Of course as Greig knows, nothing great is easy, however one year later he now has a fully-functioning NES Keytar.

One of the most impressive things is that even after all the tinkering, it's still a working NES games console, so he can still plug it in and play.

The sound isn't artificial either, it's actually using the original sound chip from the NES giving it a completely authentic 8-bit sound.

The NES Keytar is built from a combination of parts including a Guitar Hero Controller, Famicom Controller, a Raspberry Pi and of course a toy keyboard.
