Online Gamer Accidentally Livestreams Terrifying Home Invasion

A gamer who was livestreaming an online session accidentally broadcast a robbery and home invasion when they were attacked mid-game.

Police in Arizona said that two men broke into an apartment at around 5am, while a well-known Dota 2 player was broadcasting her webcam feed on a gaming network.

Sgt Steve Carbajal of the Tempe Police Department said that gamers "from around the world were watching the home invasion occur while trying to contact the corresponding law enforcement agency".

One of the suspects has been taken into custody, but another is said to be still on the loose and carrying a handgun.

Fortunately no one was hurt in the incident, though they were shaken up after being locked in a back bedroom during the robbery before a plan to take them to a bank to withdraw money.

The shocking video of the incident has since been posted on YouTube and generated more than a million views.
