Uruguay and England meet for the first time in eight years at the World Cup in what has been billed as a knockout tie in Group D after the teams' defeats to Costa Rica and Italy last week. Kick-off is at 8pm.
England have played two and lost two. They rallied in the second-half but too many of their front six played like this was a work experience jolly. They were too tentative and amiable against the physical and bullish Uruguayans. The purity of Suarez's finish - he did not even look up when approaching Hart's goal - was apt. He was the only world-class player on the pitch.
He has been the difference.
95th minute. Hart is coming up...
Gerrard wastes a shot, Barkley loses possession and England are not getting anywhere. Gerrard's now opted for a dive.
For what it's worth. We've almost reached 90 minutes.
He should have passed that to Glen Johnson but instead he drifts one in for Muslera again. Suarez is off for defender Sebastian Coates.
The stretcher is out for him. He has performed clinically tonight. World-class.
They have five minutes remaining. They also have a free0kick just outside Uruguay's area.
A long ball from Muslera came off the top of Gerrard's head and he assists Suarez perfectly. The Uruguayan runs onto it and blasts the ball emphatically past Hart.
It's Suarez again. It's Gerrard's mistake again. England are on the brink again.
Johnson misses a header and Suarez clips another ball in. Cahill, ultimately, takes control again as Hart hesitates. England have lost momentum quickly.
Some desperate clearances back there from England's defence as Uruguay go on the attack. Eight minutes to go.
Cahill deals with Caceres' drifter but England look edgy any time the ball comes into their area. Suarez can only hit the first man but Pereira plays Suarez in behind a sleeping Suarez and Cahill is there again to cut out the cross.
Lallana gives it to Rooney, he gives it to Barkley but the young Scouser's backheel doesn't come off. England look the more energetic, here.
It was González Johnson skipped past before assisting Rooney's equaliser.
Nothing doing. Pereira saw him off but England come again. Sturridge turns, shoots but Muslera saves. In comes Ross Barkley with a stirring tackle. He's had an impact. England have got a lease of life and they are pounding Uruguay towards the ropes.
Great link up play with Sturridge on the right, he waltzed past the onrushing Gimenez and poked the ball to the far post where Rooney was waiting for a tap in. Great gusto from Johnson.
It's Wayne Rooneyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
England get on with the free-kick and Sturridge does well to engineer room for a shot 20 yards out yet he scuffs it into Muslera's path yet again. At this rate, Lambert might be introduced as England pay homage to Charles Hughes. There are few options to galvanise them off the bench.
Uruguay win a dubious throw-in but Baines is out of sync again following Lallana's introduction. The Southampton midfielder appears to have gone out to the left, however the two midfielders - Gerrard and Henderson - have been too detached.
It looks like Barkley is playing off Rooney, who has just needlessly barged his nemesis Arévalo Rios over 40 yards from goal.
Gimenez defends a Baines cross well but Barkley is already worrying Uruguay. Sturridge has taken a dive but isn't booked and Suarez shortly wins a free-kick following a foul from the impetuous Cahill.
Adam Lallana has replaced Danny Welbeck.
