Cheryl Cole’s ‘X Factor’ colleagues reportedly thought the singer’s shock wedding to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini was a prank when when they first heard about it.
Cheryl surprised everyone on Monday when she revealed that she’d tied the knot with her new French beau in secret after a whirlwind three-month romance last week - and it seems she even managed to keep it a secret from the people she works with on the TV talent show.

A show insider told Digital Spy: “Everyone thought it was a prank when we saw it in the paper. It truly was the best kept secret in showbiz.”
Despite keeping schtum about her forthcoming nuptials, it seems that behind the scenes Cheryl hasn’t been shy about they new love in her life, even bringing Jean-Bernard along to the auditions with her - and it sounds like he gets the thumbs up from the ‘X Factor’ crew.

It’s been claimed that when ‘X Factor’ returns to screens later this year, Cheryl has requested that she is referred to by as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini now that she is officially married.
Meanwhile, although the ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ singer’s fans were quick to congratulate her on her new marriage, not everybody was so thrilled for her - namely Ms. Rent-A-Gob herself, Katie Hopkins who slammed Cheryl’s decision to get married after such a short amount of time.
However, luckily for Cheryl she has her pal and former bandmate Nicola Roberts to stick up for her, claiming she’s “never been happier” than she is with her new husband.
