The former ‘Loose Women’ star is no stranger to the award, which she won for the first time in 2011, however she is now the first person to ever receive it twice.
Carol recently stepped down from ‘Loose Women’ to concentrate on her ambition to fly solo around the world (yes, really) and she’s shared her delight at receiving the award.
"I am both surprised and flattered to win the award for a second time - particularly at this stage of my life,” she says. "As I said when I won it in 2011, I always suspected there were a lot of people out there who were glad to see the back of me.
“It now appears there were even more than I thought."
‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl came second in the poll, which more than 10,000 voters had a say in.
Over in the men’s category, cheeky chap Olly Murs triumphed while tennis ace Andy Murray came second.
While Carol’s been concentrating on becoming a high-flyer (literally), Cheryl has been busy judging the 2014 ‘X Factor’ auditions, oh, and she also shocked everyone with *that* surprise wedding announcement last week.
Since announcing her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, Cheryl has shot down rumours that he’s something of a playboy and earlier this week, she held a second wedding party following their secret ceremony in Mustique, where just four people were present.
