#CatsAgainstFeminism - The Social Media Movement Showing Why 'Women Against Feminism' Was So Wrong

This Is What Would Happen To Feminism If Cats Ruled The World

As a group of feminists, the team here at HuffPost UK Lifestyle were a little confused by the social media movement 'Women Against Feminism'.

The 'anti-feminists' involved said they wanted to respect all genders and promote a society full of love rather than condemnation and hate. Which had us thinking - they clearly missed the point as that is exactly what feminism IS about.

Now, a wonderful (and absolutely hilarious) counter-blog has been started in response.

Introducing Confused Cats Against Feminism - the Tumblr using humour (and cats) to point out the ridiculousness of women denouncing a movement that benefits them.

The project was started by We Hunted The Mammoth - a blog that satirises misogyny around the internet.

The idea has since taken off on social media, with people uploading witty pictures of their feline friends with sarcastic banners under the hashtag #CatsAgainstFeminism.

Just like the Woman Against Feminism advocates, the cats seem a little confused about what feminism actually is...

Writing on their Tumblr page, the creators say: “Hey, cats need a place where they can post pictures of themselves holding signs denouncing feminism for assorted weird reasons that don’t seem to have anything to do with what feminism is actually about."

We think we've found our new favourite blog.
