Thought coffee and chocolate were bad for your skin? When used in the right way, these ingredients can brighten tired, dull complexions and reduce puffiness around the eyes.

Unfortunately it doesn't involve eating, but this face mask is easy, affordable and quick to make at home.

Try mixing ground coffee with an equal quantity of cocoa powder and plain yoghurt. Yes, it sounds like a dessert, but this tasty combination results in a cheap, replenishing treatment for your skin.

Watch this tutorial to find out how it's done:

You will need:

4 tbsp yoghurt

2 tbsp finely ground coffee

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

STEP 1: Make the face mask

Add the finely ground coffee beans, cocoa powder into a bowl. Add the yogurt and stir until a smooth paste forms.

STEP 2: Apply the face mask

Apply the mask gently to the face. Leave on the face for 10 minutes or until the mask is dry, then rinse with warm water and a washcloth. If you have sensitive skin, don't rub the skin too hard to avoid any aggravation.

STEP 3: Store the mask

You can put the face mask in a sealed container and store it in the fridge for several days.
