A Computer Screenshot Just Sold For $90,000

Someone Has Bought This Screenshot For $90,000

A screenshot has sold on eBay for $90,900 proving that it's not what you're selling it's how you're selling it. OR that people can't be trusted with their own money because they'll buy just about anything.

Rivaling jars of air and the 'souls' of celebrities this latest purchase has, at the very least, a modicum of meaning attached as the screenshot is of a 4chan user commenting on the state of art today.

The anonymous poster wrote: "Art used to be something to cherish Now literally anything could be art This post is art"

This obviously struck a chord with some members of the online community as the the initial bidding went from $500 all the way up to the staggering $90,900 final bid.

So what will the 'lucky' winning bidder get in return for their money? As well as the pleasure of knowing they're owning some 'modern art' they'll get an A4 print out of the screenshot which is then handily framed (as you'd expect).

This isn't where the story ends though, oh no. Things have become truly meta after a screenshot of the eBay post has itself now reached $50,000 in bids.
