In just a matter of days time, London Grammar will take to the stage at Wilderness, for their first ever mainstage headline set at a UK festival.
Ahead of their star turn at the Oxfordshire event, Huff Post UK sat down with guitarist Dan Rotham.

In the year since they first played Wilderness, London Grammar have gone from being, as Dan puts it, “a blog band” to something much bigger - scooping a Brit Award nomination and an Ivor Novello along the way.
So how they feeling about this year’s headline slot?
“It’s terrifying to be honest,” Dan laughs. “I don’t know how that’s even happened.
“It’s amazing, Wilderness a great festival and a really interesting opportunity for us.”
However, you can’t please everyone and like the rest of this year’s festival headliners - Metallica at Glastonbury and Lily Allen, who stepped in for Two Door Cinema Club at Latitude, to name just two - London Grammar have faced some criticism.

With just one album under their belts, are the trio really ready to headline Wilderness? While other bands would be left squirming at negative comments and the idea that they aren’t ready, Dan and his bandmates seem quietly confident and determined to take it all in their stride.
“I think there’s a level of the negativity that is fair enough,” Dan reasons. “People expect a band that is capable of doing it [to be booked] and I can see why they might think we’re not.
“We’ve never headlined a festival before, so I can appreciate it.
"It mainly makes me really want to try and make it [the show] better. We are capable and we have a brilliant production and a team who’ve put together a really good show."
“Obviously, I don’t know how we’ll play on the night... You can never be sure of that. If people want to be negative then fair enough, but hopefully we can prove them wrong.”
