Fox News Reporter Says Michelle Obama Should 'Drop A Few'

Fox News contributor Dr. Keith Ablow declared that Michelle Obama "needs to drop a few" on US chat show Outnumbered on Tuesday.

Female co-hosts on the show were discussing the new federal nutrition standards for school lunches (which the Flotus is backing in a big way) and how hard it is to convince kids to stick to a healthy diet.

According to co-host Kennedy Montgomery, Michelle's enforcement of these eating standards makes her "so, like, the duchess when she speaks."

As for Ablow's contribution to the conversation? He started slamming the First Lady's weight, and said, "How well can she be eating? She needs to drop a few." Lovely.

And it goes on.

"No, let's be honest," he continued. "No, listen - we're taking nutritional advice from who? Let's be honest, there's no french fries ever? That's all kale and carrots? I don't buy it.

"She's up at night in the White House kitchen, I'm telling you."

While it was all in jest (yes, he's hilarious isn't he) we can't help but ask why he feels the need to comment on a woman's body image to make a point?

The First Lady is a huge advocate of solving the epidemic of childhood obesity and her Let's Move! initiative aims to raise a healthier generation of children.

"The physical and emotional health of an entire generation and the economic health and security of our nation is at stake" she said back in 2010 at the Let's Move! launch.

Maybe Ablow just needs to back off?
