17-Year-Old World Cup Fan Lands L'Oreal Modelling Contract

When Axelle Despiegelaere flew out to Sao Paulo to watch her team Belgium play Russia in the group stages of the World Cup, she probably wasn't prepared for what happened next.

After a photographer captured these pictures of the 17-year-old Belgian fan dressed in her Red Devils shirt, scarf and hat, the photos quickly went viral on Twitter and appeared in newspapers around the world.

The next part to this life-changing story was a dream come true for the teeanger.

When Axelle returned home, she set up a Facebook page which received over 200,000 likes in just over a week. Soon after, she has signed a contract with one of the largest global cosmetics brands, L'Oreal.

Although there's no news on what this deal might be worth, Business Insider reports Axelle has already filmed a promotional video for the beauty brand.

Who knew what a bit of patriotic face paint and a couple of pompoms could lead to?

Their football team might not have been so lucky (Argentina beat Belguim 1-0 in the quarter-finals) but at least one supporter went home with a huge smile on her face.

Watch the video below to find out what happened when Axelle got her first L'Oreal Paris makeover...
