The not-so-little girl weighed in at a whopping 13lb, 7oz when she was born naturally in Spain.
Baby Maria's mum, British born Maxime Marin, 40, delivered her without pain relief at the Hospital Marina Salud in the Mediterranean city of Denia following a five-hour labour.
Mum and baby are both said to be in good health, but Maria is currently in the neonatal care unit.
Maxime, who is married to Jaime and has three sons, told reporters that Maria was a big (!) surprise - especially as she had recently had one of her ovaries removed.
"I went in for an op to remove a cyst on one of my ovaries a year ago and they ended up removing the ovary itself," she said. "A lot of people panic and think they've no chance of getting pregnant with just the one ovary.
"But it wasn't a real worry for me and Jaime since we weren't planning on having children because of our ages. It was a complete shock to say the least when I found out I was pregnant."
