The biggest hair story from the Autumn/Winter 2013 shows was the wet look trend. Unfortunately for most of us, it's not the easiest of styles to wear. In fact - this look isn't exactly red carpet-friendly either.
So much so that Eva Mendes, Miranda Kerr and Drew Barrymore bucked the trend completely at their various Thursday night soirees. What did they choose instead? The fail-safe big, blow-dried down do. How did they look? Amazing.
Mendes paired her slick black dress with tumbling, voluminous curls. And for extra glamour? Gold hoop earrings - always a winner.
Kerr curled hair looked glossier than ever but it was Barrymore who proved that this style doesn't have to look overly-groomed.
The actress arrived at the NYC ballet gala with her effortless 'second-day-curls' look. Did it look sloppy and slept-in? No - the icy blue eyeshadow and glossy blush lips left Drew glowing.
As for the on-trend wet look? One brave girl tried it...
