Caroline Flack Admits To Having Therapy Due To Job Stress

Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack has revealed she had therapy to help cope with the stress of hosting the ITV2 show.

The 33-year-old confessed she underwent professional counselling for anxiety and now she's happier than ever before.

"Sometimes you get caught up in your own mind - especially in this job - and you just need someone to snap you out of it and go, 'Come on!" she told The Mirror.

"It was all manner of things which just built up - works stresses, life stresses, family stresses and relationship stresses.

"Talking to someone just helps as a problem shared is a problem halved. I loved it and to be honest it got me through quite a lot."

She was treated with Neuro-Linguistic Prgramming, which helps patients look at how they address stressful situations. Comedian Russell Brand said the therapy saved his life while Cheryl Cole reportedly used it to help her self esteem after being dropped from American X Factor.

"You have your down days and your up days so something like NLP definitely helps. I'm very happy now," Caroline added.

"I'm quite an emotional person and I get emotional about people.

"I have cried a lot this year – but I'm quite a crier when it comes to sad songs and stories at the auditions."
