Dermablend Makeup Ads Highlight Skin Conditions Instead Of Hiding Them

A handful of beauty and fashion brands are doing their best to produce inspiring advertising campaigns, and this latest ad from Dermablend might just be the best yet.

The skincare company (it makes corrective cosmetic products for people with skin conditions) has launched its #CamoConfessions campaign with the tag line 'blend in to stand out.'

Cheri and Cassandra, two of the models used in the ad, have vitiligo and acne - but instead of covering up their complexions, the brand filmed videos of the girls wiping off their makeup as they speak about how their conditions have affected them personally.

These videos take going barefaced to a whole new level - in fact, it's refreshing to see an advert that's so open and honest.

"We think that in order to be successful, we have to be a certain way. But in reality, in order to be successful and happy, all we have to do is be ourselves," says Cassandra.
