The Investec Derby Festival kicked off at Epsom racecourse on Friday and as always, there was some seriously statement-making style on display. Why? It was Ladies' Day and the best fashion and headgear is always saved for the opening afternoon of the meeting.
Thanks to the warmer weather, racegoers left their outerwear at home and opted for strapless dresses in pretty, pastel colours.
There was nothing too short or revealing though - after all, there are rules when it comes to looking elegant at the races.
Sunglasses were also essential, but the hat designs were notably different to the extravagant styles seen at Aintree's Grand National in April. (Think subtle, fascinators instead of floppy fedoras or anything that might poke your eye out.)
OK, the fashion might not be as glamorous as it used to be way back when (remember when Princess Diana wore those 1980s power suits?) but still, you don't want to miss any of the Ladies' Day style from the 2014 Derby...
Love Ladies' Day fashion? Royal Ascot is only days away! (You probably want to read Pippa Middleton's style guide to dressing for the occasion before it gets underway.)
