Aged 47, Halle Berry thought her chances of having another baby were slim to none. So how did she feel when she found out she was pregnant with her second child last year? Er, totally shocked.
In October 2014, Berry gave birth to her son Maceo - her first baby with husband Olivier Martinez and a brother to her daughter Nahla from a previous relationship with Gabriel Aubry.
However, the actress has since described the birth as a "miracle," particularly as she felt "kinda premenopausal," before she found out the good news.
In an interview on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show, Berry revealed how she felt when she discovered she was pregnant again.
"I mean, I didn't think it was possible to have another baby and I thought for sure I had a need never to get married again," she told Ellen. "So, I've learned never to say never."
The news also came as a good surprise for six-year-old Nahla.
"Nahla prayed and prayed for him for like a year and a half for a baby and a bunk bed and she got both of those things," said Berry.
"Only her prayers could have done this. I didn't think it was possible at my age, honestly. So she's just like, he's like one of her dollies that came to life."
Berry also spoke about the difference between raising baby boys and girls and her experiences of breastfeeding ("he's like sucking the life out of me," she says about nursing Maceo.)
