Congratulations to Hayden Panettiere! The Nashville star is expecting her first child with fiance Wladimir Klitschk.
The 24-year-old actress has been engaged to her 6ft 6 boxer boyfriend for a year and started dating him in 2009. After a short split in 2011, Klitschk popped the question last spring.
And although there tends to be quite a significant height difference (Panettiere is a petite 5ft 2), Panettiere admitted she's got quite a thing for athletes.
"They're in similar circles, where they understand the schedule, the work ethic, the social aspect," she told US Weekly when asked about dating a sportsman.
More recently Hayden has spoken about wanting to start a family.
"I've lived a very big life, and I don't feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother," she explained to Glamour last summer.
"Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, 'Your life ends - you're never going to be able to do anything again!' And I'm like, 'What are you talking about?' Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there's nothing that I feel like I can't accomplish while having children in my life."
Sounds like Hayden's wish has just come true.
