If the rumours are true, Mariah Carey was paid a cool £1million to perform for the son of the Sultan of Brunei. Well, we probably wouldn't have turned down this New Years gig either.

According to Mail Online, the singer was paid $1.5 million (£910,000) to sing three songs at a party at the Dorchester Hotel. And in case you were wondering, the songs included Always Be My Baby and Auld Lang Syne.

Mariah, her husband Nick Canon and their two twin tots Monroe and Moroccan, were all flown to London on a private jet.

The All I want For Christmas songstress performed for Prince Azim alongside the likes of Diana Ross.

Mariah and her family spent time in Aspen skiing in the run up to Christmas and the superstar couldn't help but sharing some of her cutest snaps on Instagram.
