Jennifer was looking pretty fabulous for her appearance on the show which will air in the US next week but was filmed back on April 21. The Hunger Games star was looking bang on trend in a black halter neck Victoria Beckham dress and Jimmy Choo shoes.
For the beauty, Miss Lawrence opted for smokey eyes and a glossy pink lip.
According to E! Online, the joke was Jennifer's way of telling the world that she hasn't actually grown out her pixie chop and is instead rocking hair extensions.
The Best Actress Oscar winner admitted it was "fake" and said: "I couldn't help it. I wanted to cut two for bushy eyebrows. Everyone is talking about how Jennifer Lawrence has grown her hair out a little bit, so I decided to grow my chin out a little bit, Hollywood style."
During her appearance on the show she also spoke about her embarrassment when Jennifer Lopez turned her down for a dance at a charity event - something she blames on host Jimmy Fallon, according to US magazine.
She said: "You came up with this idea. We'll do a spin and then she will dance with us. I do it, then I look at him and he's gone and she's just looking at me. You made me look like a freak in front of J.Lo."
The actress, who is also a model for Dior (jealous much), was recently named FHM's sexiest woman in the world!
