Who says you can't wear bright white mid-winter?
OK, let's caveat that by adding the geographic location of Los Angeles to this picture of the delightful Kate Bosworth. LA's current climate is positively balmy compared to the chillsome conditions of our own fair isle, but that's beside the point.
Kate chose the gorgeous Alexander McQueen white and ivory crop top and matching belted skirt for a photocall to promote her latest silver screen endeavour, Homefront. She added white Louboutin pumps, a loose side pony and a pretty shade of pink lipstick to finish off the thoroughly summer ensemble.
And do you see tights anywhere in this picture? No. It does make for rather depressing viewing as we sit here swathed in layer upon layer of gigantic knits.
Despite the chill factor, we're keen to replicate this gorgeous anti-winter get-up before 2013 is out.
This is only possible if we host our very own Christmas shindig, make our other half answer the door to the guests and sip mulled wine to keep us cosy as we hob-nob with the guests gathered around the fireplace.Totally do-able then.
