Kate Middleton, Duchess Of Cambridge's Dog Lupo To Star In New Children's Book Series

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton's dog Lupo is set to star in a new series of children's books after author Abigail King trademarked the royal pet's name.

'The Adventures Of Lupo The Royal Dog: The Secret Of Windsor Castle', will hit bookshelves in September, with three more stories and a range of merchandise to follow.

Members of the royal family including William, Kate, baby Prince George and the Queen, all make appearances in the book, but the focus is very much on the animals of the Royal Household and their crazy adventures.

In the first story Lupo is accused of a serious crime he did not commit - an attack on a swan, which are protected under the Queen's charter. Duh, duh, duuuuh!

In a bid to prove his innocence Lupo teams up with corgi Vulcan - named after one of the Queen's actual pets - who discovers an old secret which he is determined to "use against England and the crown". Sounds intense!

Abigail coined the idea after walking her own dog in Kensington gardens, where she, "started to think about what life as a royal puppy, with palaces and parks at your disposal, might be like."

Considering the effect Kate has had on the high street (hello Russell & Bromley nude court shoes!) we're pretty damn sure these books will fly off the shelves.

A kangaroo rucksack the royal couple were seen toting with Prince George during the Royal Tour of New Zealand and Australia sold out in hours of the pictures hitting the internet after all.
