Kate Middleton Has A New Hobby!

Every woman has a hobby - something that makes her giddy with joy, the thing she obsesses over happily. And Kate Middleton's is buying fireplaces.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been hard at work leading renovation work at Anmer Hall mansion on the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The £1.5 million refurbishment has, naturally, been taking up all the royal's time and she's developed a serious penchant for finding the perfect fireplaces for her family's 10-bedroom digs.

The Express reported the duchess is so into the subject, she spoke to Theresa Edwards of Strathearn Stone and Timber in Forteviot, Perthshire, at a village fete last week.

"She said she's doing her house up and she's looking for fireplaces. She said she's having problems finding a fireplace so I suggested she look on our website," Edwards revealed.

And that's not all, Kate has also been spotted at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour and ordered stunning jade and teal striped material from Mulberry Home.

While Kate and Prince William have their permanent Kensington Palace apartments, it's Anmer Hall that will be the family's "fancy farmhouse" retreat on weekends.

The duchess is clearly going to substantial lengths to ensure the decor suits their understated, traditional style. However, that's not to say they will be slumming it. After all, the mansion does have an outside pool, tennis courts and a garden room.
