Kate Middleton Has A New Job! Why The Duchess Is Trying Her Hand At Interior Design

When she's not at a royal engagement or dealing with the new nanny, the Duchess of Cambridge has got another job on her hands - decorating her country house, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.

People magazine reports Kate is taking on the interior design project herself rather than hiring an expert to take care of it.

"Instead of hiring a royal interior designer, she wants to furnish it in her own style, because she wants this to be her own family home," Simon Knight, owner of Knights Oriental Rugs in Henley-on-Thames, told People.

Knight revealed Kate has been visiting his antique rug store "looking for things for bedrooms" and purchased several Turkish kilims (woven carpets.)

"She is very hands-on and down-to-earth, helping to get things out. She really wants to be involved," he added.

People also reports that the Design Centre in London's Chelsea Harbour is another of her favourite shops to go to for lighting and fabric inspiration.

Let's just hope she's happy with her decor decisions this time round. We don't want another case of Kate hating the colour scheme...
