Kate Middleton, The Duchess Of Cambridge, And Prince William Play Cricket In Christchurch And Wills Almost Bowls Her Over

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William went all out to play a game of cricket in Latimer Square Gardens in Christchurch, New Zealand on Monday during their Royal Tour.

The royal couple may have been suited and booted for their visit to support the Cricket World Cup, which comes to the city in 2015, but that didn't stop them having a few innings with the team.

Kate wore a stunning red button-down two piece skirt suit by Italian designer Luisa Spagnoli belted at the waist with black suede stilettos and pearl drop earrings. And yes, there was a classic black clutch bag when she wasn't on the field striking out with her yellow cricket bat.

The 32-year-old royal is definitely game for taking her turn when it comes to anything sporty - not only did she trounce Wills during Friday's yacht racing in Auckland but she was totally unfazed when he nearly bowled a ball into her head during play.

Both Kate and Wills took their turn at playing with local children during their visit and while Kate made it all look a complete breeze in a skirt AND heels, Wills didn't let his navy suit and red tie co-ord hold him back. Just a tad competitive then.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also officially opened the visitors centre of the Botanic Gardens that afternoon and laid stones during a visit to the Canterbury Television building memorial site.
