Kate Middleton, The Duchess Of Cambridge, Prince William And Prince George Touch Down In Australia

Kate Middleton, The Duchess Of Cambridge, Prince William and Prince George have arrived safely in Australia for the second leg of their tour - and is it just us, or are these pictures the sunniest you've ever seen?

The young family touched down in Sydney and were met by Australian dignitaries and huge crowds of well-wishers as they disembarked the Air Force jet.

Knowing their arrival would not go unnoticed, Duchess Kate dressed impeccably, wearing a bright yellow Roksanda Ilincic shift dress teamed with her mostly loose flowing hair and nude heels.

But the star of the show was without the ever adorable Prince George, who was cute as the cutest button in a white romper suit embroidered with blue sailboats.

Even the Governor General's wife Lynne Cosgrove couldn't resist cooing and comically shaking his tiny hand, at which point the baby prince looked distinctly suspicious of the entire situation.

Meanwhile, Prince William - in a navy blue suit - seemed completely content to let his wife and son take centre stage ahead of making a speech at the arrival reception for the trio inside Sydney Royal Opera House.

Naturally, his son was a topic of conversation and Wills revealed he thinks George's first word may well be Bilby, which is an Australian marsupial.

He said: "Catherine and I were very grateful for the many kind messages and gifts from across the country that we received when George was born.

"I suspect George's first word might be 'Bilby' – only because 'Koala' is harder to say. We really look forward to our time here together as a family."

The Prince also spoke of his mother Princess Diana's "deep affection" for Australia and its people, and praised the nation's sporting and arts prowess.

The family will now be based in Australia for 10 days.
