Even high-flying, mezzo-soprano stars have trouble when it comes to the Royal Mail. Katherine Jenkins has revealed she almost lost out on scooping up her OBE award after the official letter was posted to her mum's neighbour's address. Doh.
Wales Online have reported the 33-year-old Welsh songbird said: "My mum had been handed the letter by her neighbour as it had been posted there by mistake."
Luckily, Katherine responded just in time and received the New Year's Honour award for all of her incredible efforts with the British Armed Forces. The blonde beauty went down a storm when she visited Afghanistan late last year.
An actual OBE and a shiny new deal with Decca Records (of Universal), 2014 is shaping out pretty nicely for Jenkins so far.
